EMG had 3 websites (EMG, Eden Vauxhall and Eden Mazda) that needed regularly analysis and reporting, with actionable insights for their inhouse team to improve search performance. So I came onboard in 2017 as an independent consultant, to help drive their technical SEO and online marketing strategy.
Solution
Each of their websites had keyword research and SEO audits undertaken to understand the technical SEO improvements that could be made. This was followed by 12 months of regular SEO reporting and competitor benchmarking, to encourage a proactive online marketing strategy.
Outcome
After 12 months, the local branch managers and inhouse development/marketing teams had a clearer understanding of what their websites were doing and what they were capable of achieving. Unique monthly sessions grew by ~10% for 2 out of the 3 websites, from the combined efforts of the team.
As the company grew and changed direction, the websites needed to have a lot more features, along with a more modern design. Some of the websites under the Eden umbrella also needed to be merged, to consolidate their services and marketing efforts.
In response to this, regular meetings and reviews continued for sometime after the 12-month partnership. This was to ensure the new websites were built with accessibility and best practice UI in mind, along with a solid, technical SEO foundation.
